The first post should have been January 28th, so I've a bit of making up to do.

Therefore,

#1: If you want to make a goal, don't say you'll start "tomorrow". Even if it's three in the morning and you have an exam the next day, start right then and there! A small step in the right direction will give you the motivation the next day to keep making small steps, and then hopefully bigger steps (during normal human hours of the day).

I grew up and lived the first 18 years of my life in a small town called Bethesda, which is located right outside the nation's capital of D.C. in the wonderful state of Maryland. I have always considered myself a northern girl, but after 4 years of living in South Carolina, I can no longer deny the abundance of southern hospitality, wisdom, and faith.

I am a senior at Clemson University and I graduate this coming May. Over Christmas my mother gave me the book "The Official Guide to Christmas in the South, Or, If You Can't Fry It, Spraypaint It Gold". A humorous account of "how to deck the halls, Southern style". So to count down to graduation, I decided to impart 100 posts of things I have learned as a northerner living in a wonderfully southern world. The next 100 posts will hopefully be a mixture of comical anecdotes, words to ponder, and (a few) serious life lessons.
