Even if it's three in the morning and you have an exam the next day, start right then and there! I have always considered myself a northern girl, but after 4 years of living in South Carolina, I can no longer deny the abundance of southern hospitality, wisdom, and faith.

I am a senior at Clemson University and I graduate this coming May. Over Christmas my mother gave me the book "The Official Guide to Christmas in the South, Or, If You Can't Fry It, Spraypaint It Gold". A humorous account of "how to deck the halls, Southern style". So to count down to graduation, I decided to impart 100 posts of things I have learned as a northerner living in a wonderfully southern world. The next 100 posts will hopefully be a mixture of comical anecdotes, words to ponder, and (a few) serious life lessons.
